A lady from the quilting guild that I belong to started a quilt for the Quilts For Valour project I wanted to participate. I didn't know the block we would be doing would be machine applique. I have done very little applique work in the years I have been quilting, and those projects I have tried I have done by hand. When I realized this I decided I would give it a try anyway. For a first effort I think it turned out well.
