Knitting and Crocheting

The latest quilting project I am working on it too large to be portable. The weather is so hot and humid I just had to sit out on the deck so I decided to do a little knitting and crocheting. I needed a new potscrubber so I decided to make one. Then with the potscrubber done of course I had to knit a discloth to match.

Gardening

For Mother's Day my youngest son gave me a petunia plant. It out grew the pot it was in so I transplanted it along with a few extra plants.

The extra plants I put in the pot that he painted for me. I am thinking of getting a second window box but I am going to wait to make sure these will go as I don't do well with plants.

Table Runner Complete

In early May I attented a guild workshop to learn the quilt-as-you-go method of quilting being taught by our guild president. The name of our guild is the London Friendship Quilting Guild so the friendship star block in this project is an illustration of the name of the guild. The project we were to make was a table runner. Here is the front of the finished project.

And here is the back. The neat thing about using this method the project is reversible so you really get two runners while making one.

June--The Final Border Complete

I finished the final border on my mystery quilt last night. I hope to have this quilted and bound for my DH as an anniversary gift next spring. I have to decided on how to quilt it. I was thinking of all over diagonal lines. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. Now the next project on my to finish list is the table runner from the May workshop. I am hoping to have it completed by the end of the week.

May's Border

I have been working on several projects this past month. I finally finished the May's border on the mystery block of the month from Claudia's Quilt Shoppe, (http://www.claudiaquiltshoppe.com/freebom.htm), just in time to work on the June's clue. I am also working on the table runner from a workshop I attented in early May. I will post a pic of that when I get it finished.
